Dr. Marina Cadreche is an experienced clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience leading local, state and international correctional teams. Dr. Cadreche earned both her Doctorate and Master’s degrees in Psychology from Albizu University in Florida. Her expertise spans correctional health, mental health and substance use services administration.
Dr. Cadreche began her career in Tennessee, where she held several key positions, including Chief of Psychology, Mental Health Director, Clinical Director and, Assistant Commissioner of Rehabilitative Services for the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC). In her role as Assistant Commissioner, she was responsible for the development of policies, procedures and standards of care for the incarcerated population receiving direct day-to-day rehabilitative services in TDOC institutions.
Most recently, Dr. Cadreche served as the Regional Mental Health Director for Centurion Health, overseeing the clinical regional operations of mental health services in the Florida Department of Corrections.
Dr. Cadreche is a long-time member of the American Correctional Association (ACA). She has published in Corrections Today, chaired the Behavioral Health Committee, and served as the Tennessee representative at the Coalition for Health Authorities (CCHA). She is now an Associate Member of the CCHA. Additionally, she provided training on best international correctional practices based on the ACA International Correctional Core Standards in Colombia, El Salvador and Argentina. Since 2015, she has served as Health Commissioner of Accreditation, on the Board of Governors, and on the Performance Standards Committee.
